Tim Bowling Longlisted for Al & Eurithe Purdy Poetry Prize

Congratulations to Tim Bowling!

Tim’s collection, In the Capital City of Autumn, has been longlisted for the Al & Eurithe Purdy Poetry Prize.

The ten books chosen for the longlist were selected by a jury panel comprised of Laisha Rosnau, Sam Solecki and Sid Marty. Sid expressed admiration to the publishers and authors who submitted books for consideration, and congratulated the longlisted authors:

I am honoured to be one of the judges for this year’s competition. This prize is an opportunity created by Eurithe Purdy to celebrate some of our accomplished poets who have been perfecting the art form over the years, with the kind of dedication to the craft that made Al Purdy such an imposing presence in our literature. I think the quality of the entrants speaks volumes about the need for such an award, with distinguished poets from all parts of the country honouring us with their submissions. What a pleasure it has been for us to read their latest work. Thank you for submitting so many fine works of art for our consideration!
