Otoniya J. Okot Bitek is a Finalist in Two BC and Yukon Book Prizes

Congratulations to Otoniya J. Okot Bitek for her collection of poetry, A Is for Acholi, is a finalist for two BC and Yukon book prizes: the Dorothy Livesay Poetry Prize and the Jim Deva Prize for Writing that Provokes.

The Dorothy Livesay Poetry Prize is awarded to the author(s) of the best work of poetry and the Jim Deva Prize for Writing that Provokes is awarded to the author(s) and/or illustrators of an original work of published writing that challenges or provokes the ideas and forces that shape what writing, art, and/or society can become.
