New Editorial Board for Wolsak and Wynn
Wolsak & Wynn Senior Editor Paul Vermeersch announces the formation of an editorial advisory board for his Buckrider Books imprint. Vermeersch is now joined by poet Canisia Lubrin, novelist Jen Sookfong Lee and Griffin Prize–winning poet Jordan Abel, who will assist with acquisition and editing duties for the Buckrider Books imprint effective immediately.
According to Vermeersch: “Wolsak & Wynn is committed to diversity in its publishing program, but commitment alone isn’t enough. A variety of literary voices requires a variety of editorial perspectives to solicit, foster and develop the very best poetry and fiction we can possibly publish. W&W wants to lead by example, and we believe our new board will help us meet the needs of our authors, of our press, and of the broader writing and publishing community.”
The mission of this board is to increase the editorial reach of Wolsak & Wynn Publishers, Ltd., and its Buckrider Books imprint, and to respond to the need for more diverse editors in Canadian publishing overall. Vermeersch remains Senior Editor for the press, reporting to Publisher Noelle Allen, and will coordinate the new editorial board.
