Writing for Mental Health: Making Room for More

Dr. Margaret Nowaczyk is a practicing physician, a passionate advocate for narrative medicine, and the author of Chasing Zebras: A Memoir of Genetics, Mental Health and Writing. In this workshop, Nowaczyk discusses how doctors use a narrative-driven approach to patient care as a way to promote healing and offers advice and exercises to help writers, readers or anyone struggling with mental health concerns employ some of these same techniques on their journey towards wellness.
