Two featured poets will read their poetry before an open mic segment for anyone that would like to share their work. Jen Frankel is a multidisciplinary artist, writer, and musician whose work includes two books of poetry, Mayhaps and Moving. She has appeared regularly at ArtFest in Kingston among other festivals and events, most recently in Hamilton at the Sober Spectacular where she performed a one woman show with music about her experiences with ECT treatments anddepression. Conor Mc Donnell is a Staff Physician at SickKids Hospital, Toronto since 2004. Before that he was born raised and educated in Ireland. His non-clinical research is engaged with quality improvement in the operating room, as well pediatric medication safety and opioid stewardship. His first poetry collection, Recovery Community, was published in 2021 by Mansfield Press. His third collection, What We Know So Far Is…, was published by Wolsak and Wynn in Fall 2025.
