Williams sneaks his poetry debut into the mainstream, shrouded in a thick cloak of pop culture references and visual noise. His title piece, "You Know Who You Are," recounts late-night Law & Order reruns with manic stream-of-consciousness. With the threat of the Terminator's laser-red eye in "Notwithstanding" and the intricate science of ramen noodle preparation in "Open," he keeps readers engaged in his dialogue on young black masculinity.
